I make small websites about very specific topics that people are searching for online.
These people land on my sites all the time, find the information they’re looking for, and will usually buy products and services which I recommend to them through my unique links.
From those purchases, I earn commissions.

A Couple REAL LIFE Examples
Example 1
I wrote an article on September 13, 2017, titled “Best Extra Large Building Blocks for Kids” on one of my websites; Gadgets Review Guide.
This is a search term that many people type into Google on a daily basis from all across the world.
Whenever they type that particular keyword in, they will see a list of results on the first page.
As you can see from the screenshot below, my website shows up on page one for that search term.
Whenever the reader clicks on any of the links within the article which say “check it out”, they will land on the amazon.com website.
And if they were to make a purchase, Amazon pays out a commission from that sale.
Other well-known affiliate networks which you’ll also learn how to earn from as an affiliate marketer are:

Example 2
The next example I want to share with you for even more clarification is from one of my other sites; Advance My House.
It’s a site where I write articles about home improvement products as well as Do-It-Yourself advice.
Each day people visit the site to get information on keywords that they are typing into the search engines.
They land on my site, find what they are looking for, and will usually purchase products through my affiliate links – based on my recommendations.
Here is a keyword that I am ranking for on page one “How to Fix Leaking Bidet”
As you can see, it’s also showing up on Google below the video results when that particular keyword is queried:
As you can see, it’s all about providing true value and helping people while getting compensated for it 🙂
For me, it’s pretty amazing to keep getting paid over and over again as a result of writing an article online.
UPDATE: I have since sold Advance My House for close to $3000 USD.
This is another great benefit of having your website online; people are willing to pay you thousands of dollars to get them!
A colleague of mine even sold one of his websites for over $30,000.

Just ensure that you pick a topic (also referred to as a niche) that is:
a.) Profitable
b.) Not too competitive
b.) One that you are passionate about
c.) One that you are interested in
D.) One that you simply want to learn more about
The reason is that since you’ll be creating a business around this topic, you want to be fully immersed in it 101%.
You are going to be creating regular content on your website that you should feel happy & excited to share with others instead of making it into a chore that you don’t like.

Big brand names and big companies such as Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com, HomeDepot.com, etc, will pay you commissions whenever you send someone to them who then purchases the products which they’re selling.
